Erie Gives Day Donations

Erie Gives Day

THANK YOU for your generosity on Erie Gives Day 2020!

Erie, PA:  This year, Erie Gives Day took place on August 11, 2020..  Despite the economical and personal challenges resulting from COVID-19, 11,482 donors gifted local charities with a combined $6,344,469.

Erie Gives is a one-day philanthropic, annual event offered b the Erie Community Foundation.  All pledged donations receive a prorated percentage match from a pool provided by local organizations.  The minimum gift amount is $25, with no limit to the amount of money one can give.

The Maleno Family to Family Fund was one of 422 local charities benefiting from the event.  15 Donors raised $2,850 for the Fund.  "Creating the Family Fund enabled us to help deserving Erie families needing a hand up with home repairs and with refurbishing Erie neighborhoods. We are committed to giving back on an ongoing basis," explained John Malenofounder of Maleno.

The donations from Erie Gives Day and all other donations help to continue this work.  "We are truly grateful for the Erie Gives Day donations': said Natalie Washburn, Broker/Owner of Maleno Real Estate.  "But we want people to know they can donate any time throughout the year through the Give Back section in our website.  The cost of repairs continue to climb and we rely on the donations from local organizations and people within Erie County to continue our work."
