2025 Annual Block Party
Maleno Property Management hosted its much-anticipated Annual Block Party on Sunday evening, July 27, 2025, and it was a night to remember. Approximately 100 residents gathered to enjoy great food, live music, and meaningful conversation with neighbors and staff.
Mike & Marie Acoustics provided a lively soundtrack for the evening, playing a wide variety of songs that had people tapping their feet and singing along. Guests were treated to Erie favorite Smith Hot Dogs, served fresh by Keith Ebberly of Dobbins Dogs, and delicious novelty ice cream from Emily Hesch of Alsie's Ice Cream—perfect for cooling off on a warm summer night.
This year’s event featured something new. For the first time, Maleno incorporated a charitable component into the festivities. The team invited Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled military members and first responders. Representing the organization was Leo Robert, who spoke with residents and shared the impact of the group’s mission.
“The support we received from the Maleno community means the world,” said Robert. “Every donation helps us continue to honor the sacrifice of our heroes by educating their legacy.”
Through raffle basket entries and generous direct donations, the event raised over $1,000 for Folds of Honor.
Natalie Washburn, Property Manager at Maleno, shared her appreciation for the event’s success. “We so enjoy holding the block party every year,” she said. “It’s such a wonderful opportunity to connect with our residents and enjoy an evening of fun, food, and fellowship.”
The Annual Block Party continues to be a cherished tradition, and this year’s addition of a fundraiser added even more heart to an already special evening.
