Trinh Family

Upon parking our vehicles and walking up to the home, we found a little boy, with bright eyes and a shy smile, standing with the door open and energetically waving us in. The rest of the Trinh family are equally endearing and inviting.

Built in 1890, we found the 1,540 sq. ft. home in need of a bit of work.  While attending school full-time, Brandon and Crystal Trinh have been doing the necessary work on the outside of their home to makeit livable for the long-term. They've exhausted their resources, but there's more work to be done with a worn out exterior door and rotting front porch. Inside, the tile in the kitchen and entry way is faulty at best, with cracks, broken, and numerous missing tiles.  The kitchen countertops' and cabinets' best years were somewhere in the distant past.

Crystal’s mom also lives with the Trinh's to help take care of their two boys, who are 8 and 4, and their daughter, who is just 8 months. This hard-working family needs a hand up to help keep moving forward with their "American dream".

The Maleno Family to Family Fund team provided:

  • Installing a new kitchen, including cabinets, countertops and flooring
  • Resurfacing the deck on the front of house
  • Adding a new man door and storm door

Welcome home, Trinh family!
